Georges St-Pierre Consulting On New Martial Arts Focused Video Game Sleeping Dogs

As if reigning as a champion in the Octagon weren't enough, MMA fighter Georges St-Pierre has taken the next logical steps in showcasing his abilities: video-game collaboration. According to video game developer Square-Enix, GSP will be "working on an ongoing basis with Sleeping Dogs, consulting on elements in the game as well as sharing insights with the public on the game’s progress."

For a game that has been touting the extensiveness of its combat system, teaming up with one of the deadliest hand-to-hand combatants in the world would definitely seem like a winning strategy. Of course, for a game to go the distance nowadays, it needs more than just a good fighting system. Luckily, the story seems to be shaping up rather nicely.

Sleeping Dogs may have had a bit of a rocky start (it was originally slated to be a continuation of the True Crime saga), but if this trailer is any indication, it's shaping up to be a fairly entertaining game. We'll see how the game stacks up pound-for-pound against the greats once it's released later this year.
