Decorative Wood Blade Katana

This lightweight wooden practice sword has a realistic silver finish and a beveled edge on the blade. The matte black scabbard is accented with kanji carved into the wood and the wooden handle is securely wrapped in cord for an excellent grip.

This katana is great for display or practicing form and technique. It is not designed for impact or cutting! Due to it's excellent faux metallic finish this sword would also be a great accessory to a costume or as a prop.

The overall length of this wooden sword is 39" with a blade length of 29".

NOTE: This is a decorative wooden sword and as such it is not suitable for actually striking things, it's sturdy but it will break if you test it. If you need a wood sword for actual swordplay, check out our huge selection of bokken!

Unfortunately, most of these swords come to us flawed by the manufacturer. They often have small cracks on the scabbard right around the hand-guard area. We never like to sell anything that is not in mint condition, so we were going to discontinue sales of this item. However, we had so many customers asking for them for theatrical performances and display, that we are still selling them even though they are usually flawed. Most cracks can be fixed with a little bit of wood glue or putty and a black marker. If you must have a mint condition wooden katana, we would not suggest ordering this item.
