They have an extra large opening that makes them easy to put on and take off, and feature extra thick double layered padding on the top of the foot and on the ankle. The double padding is strategically placed to provide maximum protection for the bones in the toes and the top of the foot. The supporting straps across the bottom of the foot extend onto the body of the kick tracing the bottom edge and creating more than 13 square inches of bonding area.
