These corded practice chucks have 12-inch handles connected by a 5-inch black nylon cord connector. The detailed gold dragon design gives this practice weapon some fire-breathing ferocity. The hollow plastic core is lightweight, yet still durable, so you can safely train until you've mastered your kata and are ready to move on to a pair of traditional hardwood or rattan wood nunchucks. Thick, soft yellow foam rubber padding makes the diameter of this training weapon approximately 1 3/8 inches, a bit thicker than those wooden chucks we mentioned. "A very decent pair of foam padded nunchaku, I would recommend them for young children or somebody who has never in their life used a pair of real nunchaku, as this is very light, the chain isn't as strong as the other colors of foam padded nunchakus, and isn't built for sparring. If you're an experienced user, I would suggest a different pair of foam padded ones (the white and/or black ones from this same site), but if these will be your first pair you will enjoy them."
