If you've been following even the most remote of UFC news out there, then you'd know that the only thing bigger than the outcome of UFC 145 was what the fight card would look like for UFC 146. Amidst the unexpected controversy surrounding Alistair Overeem's removal from UFC 146's Main Event card, MMA fans around the world have been anticipating the announcement of Overeem's replacement in the battle against Junior Dos Santos.

In what was scheduled to be a heavyweight match-up between crowd favorite Junior Dos Santos and the monstrous Alistair Overeem, the Main Event for UFC 146 hit a slight bump in the road when it was determined that Overeem failed a drug test. While Overeem didn't fail due to the presence of any Performance Enhancing Drugs, the test did show an unusually elevated level of testosterone in his system. While Overeem has maintained that the elevated levels could have been due to a newly prescribed medication, the test results subsequently led to his removal from the fight card entirely.

After a slight shuffling of the event card, UFC veteran Frank Mir has been selected to take on the no doubt eager Dos Santos. Mir, who had originally been scheduled for a match against Cain Velasquez, has left an open spot which Antonio Silva has since filled.

With the majority of the musical chairs wrapped up, it would seem fight fans can get back to analyzing the match-ups and determining how they'll be spending their evening when UFC 146 lands on Saturday, May 26th.
