Sleeping Dogs Game Review: More Bark Than Bite?



Last week saw the release of the hotly anticipated sandbox-crime-saga 'Sleeping Dogs' on both the pS2 and Xbox 360. After months of build up, enormous walkthrough videos, and a endorsement from mixed martial arts legend Georges St-Pierre, we finally find out whether the new game from Square-Enix has been worth the wait.

So what did the pro's over at Joystiq think of the latest entry in open world crime games? In short: Good, but not great. While the reviewer seldom has anything terrible to say regarding Sleeping Dogs, he also explains that nothing here comes off as particularly groundbreaking. The game mechanics, while executed well, are something we'll recognize from many others before it (**cough** Grand Theft Auto **cough**) On the plus side, the reviewer lauds the games fighting system, which is what we're all really her for anyway right?
