Top 10 Candidates for Expendables 3

After learning that Jean-Claude Van Damme and Chuck Norris have roles in “Expendables 2,” the staff at KarateMart.com began pondering who we would like to see in an “Expendables” movie. Below is a list of the top 10 candidates for Expendables 3. Some of the names that made our lists may shock or confuse you, but keep in mind that we drafted this list just for fun.

1. Sho Kosugi

Sho Kosugi is easily one of the best known actor/martial artist from the 1980's. His big break came in 1981 when he worked with karate legend Mike Stone in the film “Enter the Ninja.” Other movies that Sho Kosugi starred in include; Revenge of the Ninja, Ninja III: The Domination, Nine Deaths of the Ninja, Black Eagle, and Ninja Assasin.

2. Wesley Snipes

We would be crazy to not put this butt kicking man who grew up on the streets of the South Bronx in New York City, on our list. From “Demolition Man” where he fought against Stallone, to “Blade,” Wesley Snipes deserves to be in an “Expendables” movie.

3. Steven Seagal

When we think of 90's action movies, Steven Seagal is always one of the first martial artist to come to mind. Seagal starred in such movies as; Above the Law, Hard to Kill, and Under Seige. Since 1988 he has been in over 40 action themed movies and television shows. It is not hard to see why Steven Seagal made our list.

4. Cynthia Rothrock

Cynthia Rockroth is the only female to make our list. She has five black belts in Korean and Chinese martial arts which made her an obvious pick. Since 1985 she has appeared in 47 titles. This is one bad to the bone chick.

5. Carl Weathers

Carl Weathers is probable best known for his role in the “Rocky” series as Apollo Creed. Weathers also starred in “Predator” alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has already played roles alongside two current “Expendable” stars, so why not add him to the cast?

6. Jesse Ventura

If Weathers makes our list, so does Jesse Ventura who also had a role in “Predator.” Not only was Jesse an actor, he was a pro wrestler and served a 4 year term as mayor of Brooklyn Park, Minnesota. Every action thriller needs a butt kicking politician in its cast.

7. Jackie Chan

Jackie Chan is a martial artist turned actor turned household name. He has stared in over 100 martial arts movies and by far has the biggest resume out of our candidates.

8. Hulk Holgan

Hulk Holgan is one of the best professional wrestlers from the 80's. Hogan worked with Sylvester Stallone in “Rocky III.” We would like to see this wrestler back on the screen in an “Expendables” movie.

9. Ernie Reyes

Ernie Reyes has a 4th degree black belt in Tae-Kwon Do. He trained and competed in Muay Thai. Reyes stared in 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze” and “Surf Ninjas.” We thought Ernie Reyes would be a fun addition to an “Expendables” film.

10. Paul Hogan

Star of the “Crocodile Dundee” series, Hogan is a knife wielding cowboy of the outback. His knife skills would make a great addition to the already amazing cast of “Expendables.”
