While most schools prefer their students use a standard pair or round tonfa, many martial arts schools choose to use square tonfa because of their aggressive edges and slightly different feel. These natural red oak square tonfas have a tapered end to allow the user to spin the weapon without risk of hitting their wrist. The handle grips are slightly larger to help to prevent sliding when handling these tonfa.
