Kevin Eastman Auctioning Early Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Artwork

Any good people out there want to lend me $60k or so? (Photos courtesy of Kevin Eastman)

According to the latest news at Kevin Eastman's Deviant Art page, the co-creator of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles will be auction off some of the very first artwork and memorabilia associated with the insanely popular franchise. One of the most anticipated and rarest of the pieces to be auctioned? The very first drawing of the Turtles by Eastman himself (shown above).

Continue reading to find out what other pieces of Turtle history you'll be able to find once the auction hits this May.

As if the very first physical manifestation of the Heroes in a Halfshell weren't enough, high-rolling fans of the series will also have the opportunity to get their green fingers on an original resin first-cast from the first line of Ninja Turtle action figures. It doesn't get much more nerdgasmic than that!

Still wanting more? Fine. Um, first prints and press proofs of the first Turtles comic? Check. Autographed movie magazines? Check. How about an entire case filled with Turtle movie memorabilia including autographed copies of the shooting scripts for all three films along with notes, press packs, and a bevy of other pieces of Turtles history? Check.

We'll try to keep you posted on how the auction goes when it begins May 10th. Until then, we're going to be checking the sofas for change.
