Martial Arts Madness Of The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Returns!
May 27th, 2011
If you're a fan of the awesome amphibian antics of Michelangelo, Donatello, Raphael, and Leonardo, then you are in good company. You're also in luck, because the heroes-in-a-halfshell are finally making their way into some brand new adventures, comic-book style, this August.
Read on to find out more details about the upcoming project and take a trip down memory lane with YouTube, the internet tour-guide of all things retro.

First... an appetizer:
Feel those chills? That, my friend, is pure nostalgia. Ah ...Splinter, how you and your children have been missed. Thankfully, the new comic book, planned for release this August, will be headed up by original TMNT co-creator Kevin Eastman. Apparently, the first storyline "will tell the origin story of the Turtles and introduce a new villain, the fearsome mutant alley cat, Old Hob." While a comic book may not be the medium of choice for many TMNT fans, at least it's something, and if the comic measures up to the hype, it'll have a whole new generation of Turtle fans hunting down some Michelangelo Nunchaku for crazy cos-play.
Hopefully this will mean a whole new resurgence of ninja turtle mayhem, whether it be in comic book form or *fingers crossed* a new live-action movie. While any plans for a live action movie are rumors at this point, there is an upcoming new CGI animated series scheduled to begin showing on Nickelodeon in late 2012. Hopefully the world hasn't ended by then.
For an added bonus, there's a nice little interview with co-writer of the series Tom Waltz at the Comics Alliance Blog. It's an interesting read PLUS there's full-color pages of cover art variants for the first issue. Grab your Graphite Bo Staff, a slice of pizza, and head on over!
