As the name suggests, wrist wraps go around your wrists, palm, and the base of your thumb. This compression helps you align your hand in the right fashion to minimize the pain to your hand and maximize the pain to your boxing partner's face.
Also called a Kumpur, the cloth wrap is good for all sorts of combat sports where hands are used to strike against opponents. These handwraps are made from an elastic material that is over 190 inches long (that's almost 16 feet) before you start stretching it.
Not only do these boxing wraps come in five different colors, but even have thumb loops and Velcro fasteners to keep them secure on your hands.
