What are the Best Everyday Carry Weapons?

What are the Best Everyday Carry Weapons?
As the name suggests, everyday carry (EDC) weapons are those that you can easily take with you on the go and that help you with various tasks. For our purposes today, we'll be focusing on EDC weapons that deal some damage (especially self-defense weapons), but of course some everyday weapons can be multitools that have multiple functions.

Saps

Slap Jack

Saps like the Slap Jack are made from leather and designed to give a whollop attack to debilitate your target enough to run away from them without actually dealing permanent damage. You can also have the more intense Black Jack Improved Slapper, which can definitely break bones and leave your attackers groaning on the floor as you flee.

Leather saps are great because they're easy to hold in your pocket and take little training to use.

Batons

12 Inch Extendable Baton Keychain

We have quite a selection of telescoping batons, including our exclusive diamond grip batons. These batons are perfect for self-defense because they're sticks and sticks are easy to use. Even a baby could do it. Speaking of baby, the most EDC baton is the 12 Inch Extendable Baton Keychain. Because the collapsed form is only 5" long, the keychain baton easily fits in your pocket. That's why it's even got the keychain attachment in the first place. Can you imagine having a keychain fob weapon that wouldn't fit in your pocket or purse? That would be ridiculous!

EDC Knives

G10 Boot Knife

Lots of knives can protect you in an emergency, but everyday carry doesn't have to be about self-defense. Take the G10 Boot Knife for example. With its half-serrated blade, the knife is actually good for various tasks you might do around the house like cutting rope or tomatoes, shaving, skinning apples, or any of a number of household chores.

With an EDC knife, you want to be able to hold it on your person without having to have a knife in your hands at all times. For the EDC boot knife, this is in the form of a leather sheath that you can strap to your belt. You do have a belt, don't you?

Knuckle Dusters

Right Cross Knuckle Duster

Also known as brass knuckles, knuckledusters are fist-loading devices that magically make your punches harder while protecting your hand from Newton's Third Law of motion (that is, if you punch something hard enough, it will hurt your hand back). We've got a few. The Right Cross Knuckle Duster, for example, is so small it can fit in most pockets and, like all brass knuckles, is easy to slide on.

Sometimes brass knuckles are sold as "paperweights" (which they are, technically), so if you're looking for an everyday carry weapon that also has other non-weapon uses, there you go.

Hidden weapons

Hidden Belt Knife

We've got a whole bunch of hidden weapons that we've already gone into detail here. A really good one for everyday carry is the Hidden Belt Knife, which not only allows you to carry a fully-functioning knife where it's easy to reach yet also hidden from view, but also helps you keep your pants on. And that's everyday carry for you. We've set up a whole list of EDC weapons that you can browse here, but there are even more sprinkled throughout our website. Let us know what your favorite EDC weapon is.

When it comes to EDC, nothing beats a good ol' reliable knife. Except maybe a collapsible bo. That might work
