The weapons are mounted on a piece of foam board with hot glue and come off very easily. Some packages have weapons that have come off and are loose in the package, but you can still generally tell which weapon goes in which spot - if you intend to keep them on the mount. Most people will just take them off for use in models and with action figures so it wont matter. The glue does not leave a residue on the weapons. The backings that the weapons are mounted on are in assorted colors (blue, red, yellow, green) the one you receive will be a suprise!
