Martial Arts Combat Fueled Fighting Game "Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat" Isn't Winning Over The Judges
April 19th, 2012
"Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat" was released this Tuesday but if the initial reviews on this intensely violent fighting game are any indicator, you may want to hold on declaring this one a champion just yet.
Read on to learn what some of the score are showing for the game in these early rounds.
The third installment in what has until now been a surprisingly successful fighting game franchise, Deadliest Warrior: Ancient Combat" is actually re-packaging of the first two games which made their debut on the Xbox Live Arcade. This time around gamers are presented with a disc version of the game which includes both parts of the Deadliest Warrior franchise as well as all DLC. Additionally, the "Ancient Combat" pack includes a bonus arena as well as six episodes of Season 3 of Spike TV's show on which the games are based. All for a mere $29.95.
Unfortunately, reviews for the pack have been lackluster at best so far, with most suggesting that the series has begun to show its age amongst the myriad of other, more polished, offerings. For now it appears as though fans of the franchise will have to wait for a true sequel to arrive before their lust for combat carnage may once again be satiated.
