"Bought this 4 foot aluminum staff after I became interested in akido-jo. Also, 4 ft is way more real world convienent than 6 ft. Ive had wax wood and red oak staffs. Now Im no longer worried about my jo staff being subjected to the elements or breaking. It feels great.. a nice lighter weight compared to the steel staff (also bought that one). I would highly reccomend it. Havnt played with its durability yet but Im confident it will hold its own. Packaged very well and arrived super fast."

"I should have gotten one of these sooner -
Purchased as a reliable practical walking staff for both martial arts forms, and everyday self-protection. I love to bring a bo, jo, or hanbo sized staff or stick on all my hikes, they are useful walking aids, and in the right hands, formidable even deadly weapons.
This High strength aluminum staff ticks all the checkboxes that meet or exceed my standards for use in that capacity. And unlike wood, it won't crack, or rot from the elements.
I have no doubt this would be perfectly practical for actual life or death combat, or simply keeping wild dogs away.
I added some electrical tape to supplement the grip in several places and to add contrast to the silver finish, I also added several layers to the ends so they won't get scuffed as easily when on walks. Overal, I feel like a superhero with a super futuristic staff weapon when I wield this.
It flows almost exactly like my wood staves, but is a tiny bit narrower in the hand (I'm used to 1.25 inch bo). Which is taking some getting used to, but it's great.
If you are unsure if this will hold up to real use, I have no doubt about it, Think of it like an aluminum baseball bat... But lighter and more practical."
