If you like chain weapons, you'll love the
Ninja Kyoketsu Shoge. Shoge (also spelled shogee or shogi) are
ninjutsu weapons used for snaring or trapping opponents. When battling a samurai, the chain or cord was used to entangle a limb or weapon while the ninja used the blade of the shogee to stab or slice. This shogei features an unsharpened blade with a curved blade (also unsharpened) attached to a 6" hollow handle. The lightweight bladed part is not only great for practicing the sharp stabs and slashes useful for a sharpened kyoketsu-shoge, but is also good for disarming and tripping attacks. This 13" bladed weapon is then connected to a 4" ring with an almost ten-foot twisted link chain.
This unsharpened kyoketsu shoge is a great ninja training weapon. You'll need lots of practice, too, as throwing and climbing with ninja weapons takes finesse, dedication, and strength.
