Do Ninja Climbing Tools Actually Work? We Tested Them Out!
May 5th, 2021

DO NOT TRY THIS AT HOME!!! This week for Weapons Wednesday, I decided to change things up a bit. Instead of showing off weapons, I wanted to really test out some of our ninja gear to see if it is actually legitimate.
We've been selling the ninja hand claws (shuko) and the foot spikes (ashiko) for as long as I can remember, but I've never actually tried to climb anything with them. I know they are incredible weapons that can easily be incorporated into many of your martial arts techniques, but can you actually climb a tree with them? Then, I thought about the grappling hooks. They look cool and fold up really nicely, but could they actually be used to climb anything? Please, do not try this at home.

Here are the ninja tools I tested out in this video:
1) Ninja Caltrop Tashibishi
2) Ninja Hand Claws (Shuko)
3) Ninja Foot Spikes (Ashiko)
4) Grappling Hook
Are there any other ninja tools you would like to see me test out?
