"I have the black ribbed one. It has a sharp point that can pierce skin. Since a kubaton should be blunt, I will file the sharp point off. Be advised."

"This is a perfect sized Kubotan. It falls in between the larger sized Yawara and other smaller sized Kubotans. Will fit discretely in front pockets for quick access if needed without any legal hassles concerning concealed weaponry. Also, the end is more pointed than rounded off so it may poke through the pocket material. A great buy, get two, one for each hand."

"My fiance is a server at a restaurant and is constantly getting out late at night in dark parking lots, sometimes with large amounts of cash. Not wanting to get pepper spray or a tazer, I felt that this item would be a lightweight and durable self defense measure.
After dropping a jug of juice and catching it with the Kubaton in my hand, I found out just how quick of a deterrent this would be with the right amount of force in the right location. Let's just say I now have a huge bruise from where it jammed into my thigh.
Very lightweight but solid feeling, I'm impressed with this item for such a cheap price. I did read that the paint can chip off which does suck if it happens, but I'm sure that spray paint could fix that. So far, I'm impressed with its construction and will be purchasing more in the future for other friends and family members. "

"I just got this kubotan in the mail a few days ago. While the blue color coating can be easily chipped or scratched by dropping it on the street or sidewalk, the kubotan itself is very impressive and fit in my hand perfectly. I personally don't like the keyring on the end because when I hit trees and stuff, it banged on my knuckle or finger, so I just took it off. I would DEFINITELY recommend this kubotan to anyone!"
