"So I'd like to qualify in the beginning that I'm not an expert at cane fighting techniques, just starting this up recently. But I do have plenty of experience with practice wood fighting weapons, and so I feel very comfortable reviewing this after just a couple days of ownership.
First off, the quality of the wood is very high, it's perfectly straight by eye, without any warps, bends, or other common wood defects visible. The weight is light enough to be wielded one-handed in a pinch, but solid enough that if used to hit something there is no doubt it will leave an impression. For the price, I don't want to stress test it to the point of breaking, but I'm satisfied this is strong enough to last in one hard-hitting fight. And I simply love the rubber cane foot, it looks maybe machine-pressed on, haven't truly tried to remove it as I want it and the height is great for me at 5'11", but it certainly didn't budge a bit by hand so its well installed. There's not much point to one if it just slips off, though for people who need to shorten the cane this might be an issue.
The leather strap is a fine, thick quality, will doubtless hold up for a long time.
The bulb/handle could be a little thicker to better suit my tastes, but I have medium-large hands for a man. My woman says it fits fine in her larger than average petite woman hands.
There are two tiny blemishes where the presumably brass ring was pressed on, but I plan on taking some polish too it and buffing it up a bit, see if I can't make it gleam. Didn't affect the wood that I can see.
Already adopting it to be my EDC!"
