If you are adding to your collection of bludgeoners or replicating a 18th century battle from the American plains, you'll be in need of a war club. While striking clubs have been used by many cultures over thousands of years, the general idea stays the same: long handle and sharp spikes. The Gunstock War Club maintains the historical design of a war weapon used by Native Americans that has been said to resemble the wooden stock of a rifle.

The shape of this close combat club is thought to have morphed to look like the body of firearms used by settlers who battled native tribes in the Midwest of America. While this version is more closely related to early incarnations of a combat stick, having gun-shaped clubs would have been a great intimidation tactic for horse-mounted riders to use. It is not thought that the clubs were constructed from old gunstock, as the holes drilled for attaching metal would have compromised the integrity of the wood, making it prone to shatter. The solid wood handle and contoured shaft of this replica club give excellent endurance for high impact hits.

It doesn't take a history lesson to realize that adding a sharpened Damascus steel spike to the front makes this weapon deadly serious! The single 3-inch spear point is attached to one side, giving the warrior both a lethal and non-lethal side to deliver some pain to an enemy. The steel has a 'random pattern' Damascus folded print, which gives it wide swirls in the metal. This is a beautiful modern look on the sharpened spear for all to see, unless it is secured in the stitched leather sheath. The carrying cover goes over the head of the club and allows you to hang this vintage replication war weapon from your belt loop without the spear being exposed. At about 1 pound, it won't be a chore to carry around. With a single snapping fastener, one quick motion can unsheathe this spiked club and allow you to start swinging at your assailants.

The side of the club head has brass studs for decoration that complement the leather and bead tassels attached to the top and bottom of this traditional 16-inch war club. The wooden handle becomes pointed at the base which can provide another nonlethal but very painful strike to an opponent. Bludgeoning tools have come and go in different iterations, but they don't go out of style. This unique piece can be displayed for all to admire, as well as provide some immediate protection should your enemies show up at your door.

"This thing is so cool, and has a really solid construction! The only flaw I found was that the green/blue beads around the leather strips tend to easily fly off when swinging the weapon. However, this was easily remedied using small rubber bands to hold them in place bringing it back to perfection~ Although it may no longer be a gun, it still has the ability to take out an attacker with a single headshot, and you can feel that just by holding it in your hand."
