There was a self defense course in the news years ago that used these, for "How to be like Batman", and the idea for these was that you could practice with them, and also in a pinch, use them for a self defense distraction device, to allow for escape, making your attacker think you're wielding a black metal throwing star."

"I really liked them. As good as expected and throw just as good as real ones. They really don't hurt but they Do smell kind of weird. Just wash your hands after use. Really awesome I would totally recommend them."
