"I love this pair of escrima sticks (I bought two) they are really solid, they sure can withstand sparring sessions and combat (if necessary for self defense). I love the color on these sticks. They are an excellent addition for a martial arts weapons collection and great tools for martial arts practice. Be advised if you intend to sparr with them the painting is going to wear of eventually but do not be discouraged they are excellent weapons). One more thing the red lines are two pieces of thin tape, they add a nice aesthetic to the escrima sticks."

"I've been training in Kali for many years and compete regularly. I really like using these particular hardwood escrima for practice because they are much heavier than my competition sticks. Then, when it comes time to compete, I am much faster with my lighter sticks because I've built up my arm strength.

For most people, the biggest problem with these sticks is that they are so ridged and heavy that it actually hurts your hands to hit them against something. But, I stick to forms and combinations, so it's never been a problem for me. If I do use them on a punching bag, I feel some vibration in my hands, but that is something that you get used to and is probably good for you when learning a weapon."
