Unusual Knives You Didn't Know Existed!

Unusual Knives You Didn't Know Existed!
This week on Weapons Wednesday, we’re diving into an exciting selection of never-before-reviewed knives! Amanda and Ian put these unique weapons to the test, with some of these blades being absolute showstoppers! Be sure to watch the video embedded below to catch all the action and vote for your favorite weapon in the YouTube community poll!
First up is the Modern Medieval Dagger, a sleek and sturdy blade with a rich design. This 18 1/4-inch dagger features an 11 5/8-inch 1060 high-carbon steel blade that’s razor-sharp with a deep fuller (aka blood groove) to reduce weight. The brushed steel handguard and pommel add elegance, while the TPR handle ensures comfort and control. This beauty performed exceptionally during testing, slicing through a watermelon with ease. A true must-have for collectors and medieval enthusiasts alike!

Next, we reviewed the Stealth Assassin Knuckle Knife, a blend of ninja fantasy and practical self-defense. Made from 3Cr13 stainless steel, this trench knife combines a Persian-style blade with a knuckle guard. The cord-wrapped handle adds functionality, allowing for easy rewrapping or customization. Though light at just six ounces, it packs a punch, especially in reverse grip. Note: Be sure to check local laws before adding this striking weapon to your arsenal.

For something more unconventional, we tested the Hidden Knife Spork—a lightweight camping tool with a twist. Crafted from black, food-grade thermoplastic, this spork conceals a 2 5/8-inch serrated knife, making it a handy multipurpose tool. While primarily designed for outdoor dining, it could double as a last-resort self-defense item. Non-metallic and allergen-free, it’s perfect for any camping adventure.

Another standout was the Desert Combat Knuckle Knife. With its rose-gold aluminum knuckles and stonewashed stainless steel blade, this folding knife is as stylish as it is practical. The combo edge (serrated and plain) makes it versatile, while its lightweight build ensures comfort in reverse grip. Despite the knuckle holes being a bit large for smaller hands, its aggressive design and functionality make it a crowd-pleaser.

Finally, we ended with the Sub Zero Parang Chandong, a powerhouse weapon inspired by the traditional Malaysian parang. This 1075 carbon steel blade boasts excellent edge retention and a striking charcoal-hammered finish. Fully tang with a blue wood handle, this machete’s weight-forward design delivers serious chopping power. Perfect for outdoor enthusiasts or those who appreciate heavy-duty tools, it easily sliced through a watermelon (and yes, our table, too!).
