Well, maybe some machined holes instead of twists did that. This keeps the weight low and still allows it to fly accurately without being effected by the wind. As with most professional-grade throwing weapons, these knives reach about 9-inches when unfolded. But they fold up to 5-inches, much like the size of a pocket knife. So these target weapons are getting the best of both worlds.

Because these collapsing knives can fold and open, there is a mechanism to make sure they stay one way or the other. Below the star screw that allows the two pieces to swivel around is a locking liner, much like the passive locks on most folding knives. A piece of metal pops up to prevent the top from sliding back around, until you press on the tab with your finger to release and re-fold them up to put away. It's a unique design that makes these sharp throwers one of a kind!

The point that will actually make contact with your target is a double edged tip. Each side has a 1.75-inch sharpened blade, so you can make sure there won't be too much carnage if you miss! But seriously, you don't miss. If you need more practice to make that statement true, pick up these knives and start drilling! Keep them stored in the nylon carrying case that can be hung from your belt or thrown in your gear bag. These steel folding spikes can take it. And you should take them with you to practice more often.
