"My brother got me a pair of these for my birthday (along with the hexagon bo staff) and, once again, I was very satisfied. I have a pair of rattan escrima sticks and these are noticeably heavier, but not as much as you might think, and I actually like the added weight. I haven't personally had any problems with the grip yet, and the additional girth is nice for someone with big hands. Also, if you ever need an emergency home defense thing and you're in a jam, I think one of these would more than suffice."
