You've got in your hands what appears, at first, to be a typical flat ended kubotan keychain. But this is no typical kubotan. As you should have suspected by the big words at the top of the page, you're holding the Hidden Throwing Spikes Kubotan!
Hidden spikes? Yes, deep inside the 5.5" black kubotan are four steel spikes that have been sharpened on one end to a fine point. Each spike measures 4" long and weighs less than half of an ounce. What can you do with a sharp spike? Throw it, of course! They're throwing spikes, so they will stick to your target. If that doesn't work, you've got three more tries.
The combination of a kubotan and spikes might seem strange. However, it is actually a clever combination of close and ranged self-defense that can get you out of the grip of an attacker and running free to safety. The kubotan is useful for when someone grabs you. You can poke them in pressure points to loosen their grip and slip free. Then you just untwist the two piece of the kubotan at the center and throw the spikes at your attacker as you flee, which will slow them down enough to let you get away.
Like our other kubotans, the hidden spikes kubotan has a keyring attached to it, which you can use to attach your keys.

"A very good concept of two weapons in one, you have a traditional design for a kubotan keychain and 4 throwing spikes inside. Be advised if you intend on carrying this be advised of the screwed middle section in the keychain (over time it will become untwisted exposing the four spikes inside "falling to the floor basically"). Be sure to check your local laws before carrying this. Nevertheless I like the concept behind it and it will be for me a nice addition for my martial arts weapons collection. Note: two of the spikes have the points a little bit bent. "
