The handle has defined finger grooves, with jimping in multiple places that you can use to get more leverage. This gives you extreme control over the direction and location of the sharp curved blade. For further control, the safety ring on the handle is located on the side with the contoured finger grooves. This location is different than most karambits, but doesn't deny you the ability to use this folder in extended grip! The bottom of the handle has an ice breaker tab spike instead, which can be a handy flathead screwdriver, or a non-lethal striking point.
