The metal of the karambit is made of 3Cr13 stainless steel that has a stonewashed finish which provides extra rust-resistance and reduces light reflection for improved stealth. The talon-shaped curved blade has a dual edge, with the top portion as a razor sharp fine edge leading to the lethal pointed tip of the claw. The lower part of the blade has serrated teeth, so you can apply more pressure when you need to saw. The entire 3.5-inch steel blade fits into the heavy duty ABS sheath, so you can carry this tactical karambit around without fear of accident.

The handle that protrudes out of the black sheath is also black and cast of a durable ABS polymer. The grip section of the handle has cross hatch texture to reduce the chance of losing your grip, and a karambit ring on the pommel to help you keep even more control of this EDC weapon. These knives are technically full tang, because the steel runs through the handle, but the 1-inch knuckle ring at the end is molded ABS, to prevent the exposed ring from getting too hot or cold in extreme environments. Also attached to the sheath is a fire starting stick with a pull cord. These spark sticks are usually forged of a magnesium alloy, since rubbing stainless steel across it will create a large amount of sparks. Most survivalists know to dig a small hole, gather some tinder, and strike this curved blade against the stick to get a fire going, so you can see how helpful it is to have both items together.

This karambit is ultra-light at only 2.5 ounces, and about 5 ounces with the fire starter, sheath, and belt clip. The additional attachment is a larger ABS plastic piece that functions as a versatile clip to secure the sheath anywhere it will latch on to, be it a belt, bag, or boot.
