You'll feel like a real warrior with this 1.5 pound axe by your side. The axe head is crafted with an extremely thick piece of 1065 German surgical steel and is roughly 8 inches long. This steel is ideal for throwing knives, stars, and hatchets due to the abuse it can take without changing shape or dulling the fine edge. The 3 5/8-inch sharpened blade has a slight outward curve and a pointed tip on each side of edge. These tactical edges will give you the ability to puncture, skin, or slice almost any material as the steel is over 1/8-inch thick!

Many traditional axe handles are crafted from wood, which is lighter than metal but strong enough to control the axe blade. This tomahawk has a more modern material, injection molded nylon fiber that is matte black and has non-slip grip lines formed right into the shaft. This is a great material as it is extremely strong and won't splinter like wood can. With over 7 inches of grip lines, you can control the sharpened blade or pointed axe butt spike with one or two hands. There is also a hole machined at the bottom so you can secure a wrist strap through to keep this hatchet from flying away.

If you do want it to fly, then line it up and let the steel go! The weight of these axes is all in the steel at the top, with a tang that travels at least 4 inches into the nylon fiber handle. This means you can get some good spins in during a throw, but you'll have to work on technique to land the blade instead of the handle. When not throwing or chopping away at stumps of wood, then snap on the protective sheath and loop some cord or a tactical belt through the strap on the back for carrying.
