The Stealth Shogun Katana has this double meaning baked into the strong clay tempered blade and elegant metal sword fittings, bringing the words of Musashi to life through this sword.

The classic text describes the rings as water, fire, earth, wind, and void. These elements are illustrated in this imperial weapon. The hand sharpened 1060 clay tempered steel blade is earth in a superbly refined form. The high craftsmanship and skill show through the genuine hamon line waving along the 28 5/8-inch long cutting edge. The thin blade may appear delicate, but it is tough enough to keep the fine edge long after extensive battle use and demonstrations. The golden colored habaki has kanji symbols etched onto the metal and helps the hilt of the blade fit securely into the scabbard.

From the high carbon steel blade to the high-quality tsuka, or handle, this Japanese-style katana continues to impress. The first layer of grip is a piece of real white ray skin that is fastened in place with an antiqued menuki pendant on each side. This decorative yet functional accent is long and slender, resembling a dragon's foot or claw. The 11 1/2-inch handle is then wrapped in a traditional cord weaving pattern that creates the iconic diamond-shaped holes that allow the ray skin to show through. The black cord helps to further secure the ray skin while giving excellent grip to the tsuka as you handle this 2 pound 3.5-ounce sharpened samurai sword.

The outside has been coated with a protective black high gloss finish and has black and white woven cord wrapping at the sageo. The cord is strung through the gorgeous kurikata, the hole that allows you to wear this katana on your side, which shines like a tiger's eye gemstone. On the top and bottom of the saya are fitted topaz-colored brackets, called the kojiri and the koiguchi, that add a glimmer of elegance. Hanging from your wall, this 40 1/2-inch long weapon will draw your eye to the shimmering accents against the stealthy black gloss.

Protecting your fingers from sliding up the hand-forged blade is the tsuba, an iron disc handguard that has 8 rings with kanji symbols engraved, creating a brushed silver and black contrast that adds to the allure of this display katana.
