+   DESCRIPTION
A lot of rattan bo staffs have a very simplistic design to them. If you want something with a more interesting look, then our Tiger Rattan Bo Staff is something just for you. Every staff is a bit different from each other since the pattern differs from each weapon.

The slightly irregular shape of this staff can be attributed to the natural rattan from which it is carved. Not only does this ensure an authentic bo, but it also makes for a unique, one-of-a-kind weapon for any martial artist.

"I have 2 of these bos. If you are looking for a demonstration bo staff for competition, this is not it. The bos do have some slight warping to them that happens over time. However, their weight is excellent and they provide you with an excellent way to learn Bo staff techniques. Also, they are extremely durable and flexible and very forgiving. I have had both of mine for more than 6 years. I use them for katas, solo drills against targets, and also for free-form sparring against other bos or against people wielding shinais. If you want a relatively safe bo to practice sparring with, this is definitely the one I would recommend. The natural flex of the wood means that you'll leave a bruise but aren't likely to break bones. The ends are also beveled and sanded so you aren't going to get splinters."
