Our Black Foam Bo Staff is ideal for any student that doesn't want to end up hurting themselves (or their sparring partner). Wooden bo staffs can be very painful if they are not used correctly, so the best alternative is a foam one! This way, you can practice your martial arts techniques without the worrying of hurting anyone around you.
We have three different lengths for our foam covered bo staffs: 50 inches (considered a jo), 60 inches or 72 inches. It has a sturdy, hollow plastic core wrapped with a thick layer of foam padding to ensure that no one will get hurt during training or practice.

"Even though this bo is heavier than what I thought it would be, I love it! The occasional smack on the shin or elbow doesn't hurt nearly as bad with the padding. It's become one of my favorite go-to staffs for my meditation bo staff training in the late hours of the night (sometimes gravity happens; it's quieter on the tile floor)."
