The center of the collapsible bo staff holds a specialized quick connector that allows you to connector disconnect the two pieces with quick slide.

Just twist the staff with a quick jerk (that is, with a motion that utilizes centripital force, not with an unpleasant individual) and two sets of hardened black steel shafts extend out of their hiding spot in the handle. Now you've got an amazing five foot (or six foot, if you get the longer staff option) staff that is great for spins, thrusts, and strikes. The green anodized aluminum handle has a diamond pattern machined into its surface to give your hands a super tight grip. Re-collapse one end of the staff by driving it straight on into a hard surface and following through.
