Are you looking for an imposing weapon that will send your enemies running into the jungle? Look no further than the Modern Combat Kukri! This fixed blade knife nightmare will bring protection to you, and style to your outfit as you become an authentic Gurkha warrior!

First documented in the late 1700s, this South Asian machete is thought to be modeled after a sickle and was used to cut away brush, jungle, and long grass. The fixed blade kukris were also used in defense against nefarious persons or actual tigers, slowly changing it's reputation from a farm only tool to a lethal chopping machine. That being said, the kukri (sometimes spelled khukuri or khukri) is still used today as a common utility knife in the regions that sit south of the Himalayas, namely Nepal. It is also still issued to soldiers of various Southeast Asian countries, and they are trained to use it in close combat as well as disarmament. It would be foolish to mess with anyone who has a large and sharp melee knife as part of their uniform!

While this black finished steel blade resembles a middle eastern jambiya, it has a forward curve instead of a back bending hook, more similar to a Greek kopis (although much bigger!). This specific kind of fixed blade machete is sometimes known as a gurkha kukri because of the Gurkha fighters that attacked British infantry so fiercely that it was recorded in the notes from the commanding officer! Modern soldiers are trained to handle these large tactical kukri knives in hand-to-hand combat, making it an essential sharpened part of their equipment. Protecting yourself would be much easier with this full tang machete by your side, in your gear bag, or tucked inside of your vehicle. It will also get you out of a pinch if you were, say, surrounded by actual tigers.

This 3CR13 stainless steel blade has an immaculate black finish that reaches 10 1/2 inches long. That's a big blade. The full machete length reaches 16 inches long, but you'll be in full control with the grooves cast into the handle. At just 15 ounces, this functional fixed blade weapon will not weigh you down as you pack it in your gear to a jungle near you. Or hang it beautifully displayed on your wall, showing off the decorative ventilation cuts in the steel. If this exotic knife does come with you on a camping or hiking trip, the durable ABS plastic will supply comfort and control while you carve your way through the underbrush. The handle is so substantial that it almost feel like it's made of metal! When not in use, this steel kukri comes with a nylon sheath to keep it clean and protected, outfitted with a Velcro strap along the blade and a fitted snap to keep the handle in place.

Bring your combat skills to the next level with an intense fighting weapon that will mow the grass or mow down the competition. With black finished stainless steel and a super tough black handle, this tanto blade recurve machete will look great on display or will come to your defense in the hour of need. Find out if you can wield the power of this awesome modern kukri!
