Circles represent wholeness and unity. When you wield the 41-inch Divine Warrior Samurai Sword, your mind, body, and katana will come together in one battle ready show of force.
The 39-inch samurai katana has a 27-inch full tang blade that extends the length of the sword including the handle, giving this weapon a solid anchor. The 1045 carbon steel blade is honed to a razor sharp edge, so you'll be able to slice whatever comes your way into pieces, without the extra effort that dull blades demand. Carbon steel is widely used in the making of samurai swords for its durability, hardness, and flexibility. The sharpened blade has a natural hamon that snakes along its length, and blood grooves on each side to lighten the weapon and increase the speed and agility of the warrior who wields it.
The 3-inch diameter tsuba is jet black and circular, in more ways than one. The handguard itself has a circle-shaped frame; Within the circular form sit 8 circles that travel the circumference of the hand guard. This simple design is minimalistic and balanced, giving the katana a modest appearance.
This simplistic look is contrasted by the more intricate design of the wooden scabbard. The wooden saya is painted black and has a decorative gold string pattern. Black cord wrapping compliments the glossy black base and, together with the wrapped handle, ties the samurai sword together.
The 10.75-inch wooden handle is wrapped black cord, matching the sageo on the saya. This black cord, or ito, is traditionally wrapped around the faux ray skin tsuka. Gold dragon ornaments, or menuki, decorate the handle and nicely balance the other gold colored elements of this beautiful full tang katana. The traditional cord wrap over rayskin gives the wielder a secure grip, so there's a reduced risk of dropping this hand-forged samurai sword while demonstrating kata or practicing sword technique.
Speaking of damage, this katana comes with a cloth sword bag, so you can keep it lookin gorgeous. This simple black sleeve has a string tie to secure the sword inside, safe from dust and scratches while you move or store it.
