Martial Arts 80's Style In Newest Double Dragon Gameplay Video!

For those of us that grew up in the eighties, it was a magical time. Filled with brilliant Saturday morning cartoons and the beginnings of what would be become legendary video game franchises, it's a decade that can put a smile on my face quicker than a crane kick from Daniel LaRusso.

If you're one of the unfortunate few that didn't get to experience the amazing martial arts brawl-fest that was Double Dragon in either its arcade or it's NES incarnation, then you owe it to yourself to give this re-boot of the classic franchise a look.

Clearly inspired by the aforementioned Decade of Decadence, Double Dragon Neon seeks to bring a radical new take on a video game series that deserves an overhaul.

Check out the video which features footage from this year's E3 demo and let us know if you're a fan of the series or if you'll be there to play this new, neon edition when it arrived on Xbox Live Arcade later this year.

Kevin Eastman Vouches For New Ninja Turtles Reboot
In a recent interview with MTV Kevin Eastman, creator of the beloved ninja mutant teens, loosed some general-opinion-defying remarks about new Ninja Turtles reboot being headed by Explosion King Michael Bay.

Eastman is quoted as saying: “From what I've seen, it's easily the best Turtle movie yet. We're talking Raid: Redemption-style fight scenes; we're talking about epic Rise of the Planet of the Apes sort of effects."

Whether or not the Turtle creator is the most unbiased source when it comes to the Turtles will remain to be seen. Still, his comments may help substantiate the previous rumors which cited The Raid: Redemption as a serious influence on the fight choreography of the new film. Plus, we all know how amazing the CGI was in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

So maybe things are looking up after all?

The victor was (as of yet) undefeated Veronica Rothenhausler who managed to knock out her opponent, Ashlee Evans-Smith, with her first punch. There's not much else to say except that it takes longer to finish reading Rothenhausler's name than the actual fight lasted.
