Live-Action Street Fighter Dice Rolled Once Again

Okay, so now that San Diego Comic-Con 2012 is officially over, we can finally start sifting through the mounting of news. First little pearl of fun on the radar? Try the announcement of a Street Fighter live action web series that will hit the internets at some point next year.

Tentatively titled Street Fighter: Assassin's Fist, the series is set to reveal the rich back-stories behind many of your favorite world fighters. Hopefully, this time next year, Street Fighter fans will have something they can look at rather pride, rather than sad disappointment.

Kevin Eastman Vouches For New Ninja Turtles Reboot
In a recent interview with MTV Kevin Eastman, creator of the beloved ninja mutant teens, loosed some general-opinion-defying remarks about new Ninja Turtles reboot being headed by Explosion King Michael Bay.

Eastman is quoted as saying: “From what I've seen, it's easily the best Turtle movie yet. We're talking Raid: Redemption-style fight scenes; we're talking about epic Rise of the Planet of the Apes sort of effects."

Whether or not the Turtle creator is the most unbiased source when it comes to the Turtles will remain to be seen. Still, his comments may help substantiate the previous rumors which cited The Raid: Redemption as a serious influence on the fight choreography of the new film. Plus, we all know how amazing the CGI was in Rise of the Planet of the Apes.

So maybe things are looking up after all?

First Punch KO From Female MMA Fighter At Tuff-N-Uff

A recent Tuff-N-Uff MMA bout gave fans in Las Vegas one of the most impressive female knockouts the sport has yet seen. The victor was (as of yet) undefeated Veronica Rothenhausler who managed to knock out her opponent, Ashlee Evans-Smith, with her first punch. There's not much else to say except that it takes longer to finish reading Rothenhausler's name than the actual fight lasted.
The Expendables Were At Comic-Con Today

Here's a quick bit of action movie news hot off the press: Both Sly and Arnold made appearances at the Expendables 2 panel along with most of the other stars from the cast!

Some highlights include:

Sly reminiscing about the time Dolph punched him so hard that he ended up in a hospital. Dolph only shrugged and said, "He was my boss. He said hit me and I did."

Arnold yelling out random quotes from his past movies, including "I'm back," "It's not a tumor" and "WHO IS YOUR DADDY AND WHAT DOES HE DO?"

And how is it different working on an action movie than before? Arnold explained that now that they're older, they "move a little slower." The methods of training are more into stretching and "trying to keep as limber as I can." And at night, "we had to put a lot of ice on your knees, and your hips. Your body doesn't recuperate like when you were 30. You have to pace yourself. Just be more thoughtful."

Yes, there are plans for a Twins sequel.

Injustice: Gods Among Us Reveals Two More Characters

As if I weren't already feeling bad enough for missing this year's San Diego Comic-Con, NetherRealms went and released a brand new gameplay trailer for Injustice: Gods Among Us that revealed not one, but TWO, brand new characters for the game. Enjoy. I'll just be hanging out here. And by here I mean "Not San Diego".
